The first settlements in Lynden began in the 1850's. Lynden eventually incorporated as a city in 1891. Located in the valley flats near the Nooksack River, Lynden is lush with agriculture. The total population of Lynden is around 10,000.
Lynden is well known for it's berry farms. The sandy loam soils of Lynden provide thousands of fertile acres for raspberries, strawberries & blueberries.
One of the main neighborhoods in Lynden is the Homestead Golf Course. There are hundreds of homes surrounding the golf course. Due to the flat topography views of Mt Baker and the Canadian Mountains can be seen from most locations in Lynden. Lynden has a small private airport for the aviator types.
